Spring is in the air. After every frigid snow event we end up with temperatures in the 50’s. Time to start the spring-cleaning process. Clutter eats equity. An overly cluttered house will look and feel smaller. It may even give you an uneasy, unsettled feeling. In some cases, you may even feel buried alive surrounded by mountains of stuff.
In October I attended my first conference with the International Association of Staging Professionals held in Charlotte. The Staging industry has becoming a vital marketing component for Real Estate. “Our 2018 IAHSP Conference & EXPO was a HUGE success! Not only did we have the largest number of attendees to date, we also had the hottest duo in the Home Staging/Design world – The Scott Brothers! They charmed and educated our attendees and added such great celebrity star power to our event! All attendees earned their Luxury Home Staging (IAHSP-LHS) Designation as well as learned valuable information and insights from top-notch speakers.”

It was a run to the store for food to thrown on my table and felt like a deer caught in the headlights. This was not my plan.
What did I learn? It didn’t matter. Everyone had a great time, friends brought food and drinks and the vendors sold merchandise. Everyone was relaxed but me. It was a great turnout. My new mantra is ‘lighten up’. Life is hectic but if you are spending it with people whose company you enjoy, that is all that matters.
Before I write about a consignment shop I need to confess, I don’t do consignment shops. They seem to turn me off for various reasons. That is no longer the case with a gem of a store, actually two stores located in Cornwall Plaza in Cornwall, New York.

With Veteran’s Day on November 11, I wanted to recognize the hero in my life, my father. William Tirabasso was born in the United States but his family went back to Italy where he was raised. To this day my dad speaks with a thick Italian accent so people think he was born in Italy. Read more
