We hired Claudia for a consultation after reading her column on staging for selling your house in the local paper. We were on a tight schedule and moving out of state and did not want to bring movers in twice – once to move out most of our things and the second time to move out the furniture left for staging. She had an excellent idea on how we could stage the house for pictures for the real estate listing then move everything out at once. We hired her for the staging and photo shoot and she worked well with our realtor. The pictures were great, we moved everything out the next day and the house sold four days after listing! It was money well spent and we recommend Claudia to anyone interested in selling their home.

Claudia Jacobs was a dream to work with during our staging consultation. She is the consummate professional with a relaxed and easy-going demeanor providing the perfect balance for a homeowner who is selling a home she loves.
Her suggestions were spot on! Removing the carpeting from our stairs leading up to the bedrooms, which ones sees when entering the house, really makes a super first impression, as did removal of the carpeting in the living room and an area rug in the dining room. All these spaces now highlight the warm tones of the home’s wood floors. Another suggestion was rearranging existing furniture in two of the bedrooms, which improved their balance making them look more inviting.
Claudia’s rates were fair given the quality of her work. She retook all the photos used on the realty websites. They were incredible.
I would recommend Claudia to others needing to decorate their current home, or planning to prepare for sale as we did. I plan to seek her services once relocated to our future home.

Claudia Jacobs comes into my clients’ homes with a very positive attitude, being respectful to not offend their feelings. She walks through each home to get its feel, whether old or new, large or small. She then puts it all together and creates a whole new look and feel for the home. One of the homes Claudia staged had been on the market for months without any showings. She came in with some of her props and rearranged what they already had and created something beautiful. Her workshops at the 2009 convention really packed in the attendees. The convention covers 5 counties in upstate New York.
