Friendscapes: Painting by Rima Hamade
This is my first post in a series on friends whose work has been included in my stagings. To quote the Beatles song, “I get by with a little help from my friends”.
The artwork hanging over the sofa of this Nyack, NY home for sale is an original painting by Rima Hamade. It is now hanging in Skylands Gallery in Wantage, NJ.
The painting, Equilibrium, adds warmth to the living room and works well with the architectural features & furnishings. The original parquet flooring was polished and now gleams. Existing furniture and plants were incorporated into the stage, along with decorative accessories from my inventory.
Equilibrium
The juxtaposition of cool tones bleeding into the warm depth of the sunset, this piece is merriment of the spectrum displayed within, and is an expression of a well-balanced soul that has reached its state of equilibrium. The gem-like stones capture the discovery of the intricacies and unique nuances that differentiates the purity of this spirit.
