Shop Local for Holiday Magic

As I dismantle my house in preparation to move, there are memories of milestones including past holiday celebrations. Moving is not easy especially during the holiday season.

Admittedly, I am quick to shop online for ease and convenience when it comes to the basics. Certain items need to be experienced or touched. Being more of a touchy, feely buyer, I love creative, crafted, artisan pieces. I’m also a scent snob and prefer a fresh clean scent without floral notes. You cannot experience all the senses shopping online.

If you want to experience holiday magic, put the Sugar Loaf Craft Village on your radar. Nothing like seeing Santa drive and Christmas carolers to chase away the ‘bah humbugs’.

About the Sugar Loaf Art & Craft Village

The hamlet of Sugar Loaf is a unique community of working artisans, boutique shops, galleries and restaurants all nestled under Sugar Loaf Mountain in the picturesque Warwick Valley. Surrounded by apple orchards and wineries, the eclectic and charming village was transformed into a crafts center in the 1970’s and remains true to that heritage today as the year round home to dozens of independent business men and women, with many of these artisans living and working in the original historic barns and buildings dating back to Revolutionary times.

That special gift can be found a short drive away. Check out those small businesses in your area. Happy holiday shopping!
